A federal bankrupcty judge recently approved a plan offered by Motors Liquidation Co., f/k/a General Motors, to create a $773 Million environmental trust to fund the cleanup of 89 old GM plants. This reportedly includes $536 Million to cover cleanup costs and $300 Million demolition. No word on how this figure was arrived at and whether it covers 100% of the anticipated cleanup costs.
